    The Time Is Now!

Have you ever felt that you has so much on your plate that you were unable to get anything complete?  You are always busy, having, one thing or ten others to do? And a couple in between? The struggle cam be hard, but can be eased when you learn to live in the moment, for the moments.

Sounds difficult, but it is possible to make that transformation.  When we choose to let go of the crazy, monotonous, cycle of madness, and become mindful (conscious) of the things that we do and choose to be a part of, daily life can be so more satisfying.  If we are present in the moment, we are more susceptible to feeling accomplished at the end of the day.

Often times, we give into technology, multitasking, and treating ourselves like we have eight tentacles.  Society makes us feel like we have to get everything done at one time. Of the 24 hours in a day, eight hours should be giving to sleep, eight of the remaining hours are spent at work, and the last eight we fill with errands, chores activities, dinner, etc.

We can cause ourselves unnecessary stress and possibly health problems when we take on excessively.  Many people may rely on you (at home, work, and elsewhere), but ultimately, you can only do so much. Our time here on earth is not promised.  Make each moment count. You can start by following a few simple tips:

    • Slow down
    • Be present & deliberate
    • Focus on today
    • Concentrate on one thing as a time
    • Include me time daily – Decompress
    • Savor life & all that it has to offer
Here are a few quotes about Living in the Moment…

“I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today.  I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet.  I have just one day, Today and I’m going to be happy in it.”

    – Groucho Marx, The Essential Groucho:  Writings For By And About Groucho Marx

“Life is a preparation for the future; and the best preparation of the future is to live as if there were none”

    – Albert Einstein
